Prevalence and Age Distribution?
Fatigue prevalence is high, affecting approximately 1 in 5 adults. While general fatigue is more common in younger adults, chronic fatigue and certain fatigue-related conditions show a pattern of increasing prevalence with age up to around 60-70 years old, then declining in older groups. Overall, women tend to report fatigue more frequently than men across different age groups.
